This is one of Marcus's. A very uplifting and contagious
chorus ensure that this song is probably the one you'll remember
most after a quick listen to the EP. Usually a bit rockier when
played live - an instant favourite that we often use to close our
set.
Crazy
One of our oldest songs that has a very live feel and best
represents the Mowglee "sound". This was written back
in 1998 when Marcus brought a verse/chorus idea to a practise. We
liked the chorus but felt the melody on the verse needed
development. Patrick stepped in made some changes to the melody,
wrote a second verse and the song was complete.
Crazy is about how the world, events and tough experiences can
leave us confused, jaded and frustrated when only God can bring
order and peace to our existence.
Beautiful Lord
Not a typical Mowglee song, one that was in fact used in
worship at Maranatha Fellowship before it was
"Mowgleed". Originally a very gospel sounding tune
(check out track 6) but a more upbeat feel was developed whilst
recording. The song speaks for itself and is a love song to the
Lord.
Fade So Fast
A song that Marcus used to sing from behind his drums at
our gigs before he couldn't be bothered to anymore. An
experimental song with an eclectic sound - a dancey arpeggiated
lead keyboard, an angry flamencoesque middle eight and a
brilliant organ sound combine to produce a grower that you'll
appreciate after a couple of listens.
